Really wasn't impressed with richlands last week... I felt like Pv handed the game to them more than Richlands beating Pv.

daaaannnngggggg richlands 33 straight wins...according to the announcers....FALCONS were so close..would have been a good game to see.

APPY broke out the switch..

Exactly how I felt. I wasn't overly impressed with either team, but Powell Valley made the most mistakes and pretty much allowed Richlands to dominate them near the end of the game. That punt return for a touchdown (by Fuller) in the 2nd half really sealed the deal for the most part.

Unless they step it up, Richlands is going to eventually get beaten by a team that can stay consistent for all 4 quarters.

But hey, why am I talking? I know nothing about football right?

Was this loss just a reflection of Robinson being out or is Clintwood not as good as everyone thought? They should have beat Volunteer.

Re: CLINTWOOD vs VOLUNTEER

There was alot of thing's i did not understand in that game, like why we kept kicking to fuller on punts after he consistantly returned the ball deep in the first half. Why we played 10 off of him with his speed and size. ( i thought maybe a linebacker on him at the line and then a corner maybe 10 yrds back). Left the game feeling Pv was out coached in the second half more than richlands being the better team.

1 player might HELP win a game when it is with in 3-7 points..
but 40sum points...1 player can not stop that...bigger issue that 1 player can solve..maybe coaching overall team prep..taking somebody too litely...full moon..rain..I dont know but definitely not because 1 player aint there.

Re: CLINTWOOD vs VOLUNTEER

I'm not sure how much Robinson being out had to do with it. It was hard to tell. I just know that I've watched Clintwood play for over 20 years and I've never seen any team dominate them like that. Not PV, not Richlands, not Gate City, nobody. They coudn't do anything. That Cradic kid they've got at qb is as good as anyone I've seen in this region in almost a decade too.

Re: CLINTWOOD vs VOLUNTEER

PV may have been outcoached last week...but Fuller's punt return, and the INT in the 1st half in the end zone was the difference I saw.

When he went out vs. Burton last year, you saw the difference Robinson makes for Clintwood. They were close in that one until then...then it went to hell in a handbasket.

I thought Derek Robbins was the one who got hurt last year?
Ya know my momma loves me, she just don't understand why they keep showing my hands and not my face on t.v.
